Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To utilize proper handling procedures to ensure that the metal product is not damaged.
• To ensure all material is properly identified.
• To report on any non-conforming metal product.
• To set up and run a machine to complete the required process.
• To work safely and always use proper PPE.
• To always follow company rules, regulations and procedures.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
• Flexibility with schedule (available to work overtime and weekends as required).
• Self-motivated, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret order requirements.
• Detail-oriented, ability to follow procedures and complete paperwork as required.
• Good math skills with proficiency in precision measurements.
• The ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to use tape measurements and Micrometers.
• Ability to use hand powered tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• High School Diploma / GED. Technical degree preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum of 2 years required)
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
• Working knowledge of machinery used in the metals industry [Burn Tables, Plasma Cutting Tables, Shear Machines].
• Familiar with ISO 9000 (a plus)
• Operate Forklift / Crane a plus – Must pass evaluation before working independently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bending, stooping, and pushing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (11.3kg).
