Optimization Scientist

DEFCON AI is looking to hire an experienced Senior Optimization Analyst. You will be on the ground floor conducting cutting edge analytics in support of defense and commercial applications. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with a diverse team of analytic and subject matter experts. And you’ll have direct access to leadership to build strategic direction. DEFCON is a flat fast-paced environment where you will lead not only at the strategic level but also day-to-day by diving deeply into business product and technical domains.

Required:

• MS or Ph.D. in mathematics operations research physics computer science industrial engineering or related field

• Experience formulating and solving mixed integer linear and/or non-linear optimization

• Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science Programming experience in Python and/or R including common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas Numpy) and SQL

• At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems

• Secret Clearance ability to achieve a Secret Clearance required

Desired

• Experience formulating and solving mobility/transportation problems

• Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques

• At least 10 years of experience using analysis to solve a wide range of complex problems

Salary Range : $165000-$300000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience skills and other factors.
