Oracle DBA & Goldengate SME

We have an immediate need for an experienced Oracle DBA & Goldengate SME for 3rd Party Support:

• The role is fully remote, but the candidate must be based in Australia.
• This position is considered level 4 support.
• Occasional after hours, weekends and holidays support for urgent customer issues.
• Must have excellent customer focus and communication, friendly interaction and passion to help customers with their software issues.
• Must have excellent communications and written skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot customer issues in an environment where online and remotely connected to the customer’s systems.
• Must have ability to work within a close team environment.
• Drive customer satisfaction by tracking issues from start to closure, minimizing aging cases.

Core Skills Required

• 15+ years of experience with Oracle Database (spanning versions DB 10,11,12,18,19+)
• Configuration, setup, tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery
• Oracle RAC/Clusterware: configuration, setup, tuning, troubleshooting
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Deep-dive troubleshooting, Expertise in - Optimizing data filtering, i/o bottlenecks.
• Oracle backup/Recovery – RMAN
• Migration /Upgrade: Db migrations, OEM Migrations, installation/patching
• 12+ years of experience with Oracle Goldengate (spanning versions DB 10,11,12,18,19+)
• Oracle Goldengate Implementation: track record of implementing GG for Active-Active, Active-Passive bidirectional configuration
• Goldengate Administration: Managing / Manipulating data, Patching, Extract / replicat, Conflict detection and resolution, security considerations, Configuring manager and n/w communication, Live Reporting, Online Change Sync.
• Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Deep-dive troubleshooting, Expertise in - Optimizing data filtering, i/o bottlenecks, Tuning replicat transactions, Network efficiency, implementing monitoring scripts (Unix/Perl scripting), Goldengate Security setup

It will be advantageous, but not essential, to also have the following skills:

• Experience in EBS 12.1 & 12.2, including Cloning, Patching and EBS Migration, troubleshooting Concurrent Manager and Workflow Issue
• SME to support all different components of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
• Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Oracle Business Intelligence and OBI Apps Development and System Administration (10+ years)
• Admin Experience with OAM/OID and Oracle SSO are definite assets
