Description of Practice:
OSI is truly a “full-scope” Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice. All practitioners are board-certified physicians. OSI providers deliver services at two fixed-base offices (Nashville & Franklin) that are staffed during traditional business hours five days a week. Additionally, the group provides surgical services to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in the Nashville area. Lastly, OSI offers a “Travel Team” service providing “itinerant surgical services” at several general dental offices in the mid-state area. Some of these offices are affiliated with DSO’s while others are traditional doctor- owned practices.

Additionally, OSI is an accredited imaging center which allows the group to receive compensation from all medical carriers for CT imaging performed in the office. OSI participates in most commercial medical and dental insurers and the payor mix is 70% commercial, 20% cash, and 10% Medicaid/Medicare.

Schedule and Volumes:
All providers operate 5 days per week as well as 1 Saturday per month with each surgeon averaging 130 cases/month.  The new incoming surgeon would be expected to perform “routine” oral & maxillofacial surgery procedures (ie 3rd molars, implants, extractions) efficiently and the current schedule allows for ~8-10 procedures per half day in addition to consultative services. The practice prides themselves on being able to provide a full-scope OMS service and the incoming surgeon must be have experience and/or comfort level performing orthognathic procedures, TMJ surgery, and treatment of complex benign lesions.

Financial Package:
The incoming physician will join Oral Surgical Institute with a guaranteed salary and benefit  package. Depending on the physician’s practice effort and style, she/he can eventually earn $750,000 - $1,000,000.
