Oral Surgeon – Part-Time Opportunity in Silver Spring, MD

Maryland Dental Specialty Group in Silver Spring, Maryland is now accepting applications for a part-time Oral Surgeon to join our collaborative, multi-specialty team. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgeon who is committed to delivering exceptional surgical care. Responsibilities & Key Information

• Schedule: 1 day per week
• Insurance-based practice (PPO, FFS, Medicaid- Pediatric and Adult) with all surgical equipment and support staff provided
• Perform a range of surgical procedures, including:
  • Tooth extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth)
  • Dental implant placement
  • Bone grafting and sinus lifts
  • Biopsies and oral pathology
  • Management of facial trauma and other oral-facial surgical conditions
• Diagnose oral and maxillofacial conditions through imaging, clinical evaluations, and patient history
• Administer local anesthesia, IV sedation, and/or general anesthesia as appropriate
• Develop and communicate comprehensive treatment plans
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care
• Collaborate with referring dentists and specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care

Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
• Valid state dental license to practice as an Oral Surgeon in Maryland
• Board certified or board eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
• Proficiency in outpatient oral surgery techniques and sedation protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety and high clinical standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
