Oronite Automotive Engine oil Formulator

This posting is for a Lubricant Additive Research and Development Formulator in Oronite’s Automotive Heavy Duty Engine Oil segment. 

The formulator develops innovative formulating solutions for automotive engine oils by designing, supervising and evaluating experiments in laboratory (engine and bench tests) or in the field. The formulator set up studies on how chemical and physical characteristics of additives impact engine performance and transfer research results into the development of new products. Formulator work with peers and stakeholders to support OEM and customers needs.

This position reports to a global team (US, Japan, Netherlands) where proactive collaboration with peers across regions is required.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :

• Design and execute multi-disciplinary product development projects
• Analyze and visualize large data sets of performance data to extract technical insights
• Lead technical projects with pluri-disciplinary teams and provide guidance to colleagues in technology organization
• Work with peers and stakeholders to support OEM and customers needs
• Generate intellectual property based on formulation inventions

Required Qualifications:

• Master or PhD degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, Chemistry or Tribology. Advanced technical degree is required
• Formulating and / or additive lubricants experience
