OTR Box Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a passion for the open road. Background check and DOT Drug&Alcohol Test are required before starting the work. Responsibilities • Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and tractor-trailers. • Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo information. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. • Handle loading and unloading of cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads. • Adhere to all federal and state driving regulations to ensure safety on the road. Skills • Proven experience in truck driving with a valid driver's license (DL). • Familiarity with various truck types including dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and tractor-trailers. • Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently across diverse terrains. • Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines. • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. • A commitment to safety practices in commercial driving.
