OTR Semi Truck Driver (2yrs CDL-A, EXP Req)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. Must have 2 years CDL-A experience. NO SAP. Clean MVR. Position includes weekly Chicago based 34 hour resets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle tractor-trailer 53' Dry Van. No touch freight. Drop and hook. Must have excellent time management skils and command of current cell phone technology. Responsibilities • Operate and drive various types of trucks, including flatbed, tractor-trailer, and tanker vehicles. • Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. • Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage traveled. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays. • Ensure timely delivery of goods while providing excellent customer service at delivery locations. Skills • Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). • Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. • Experience with load unloading procedures and safety practices in commercial driving. • Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation skills. • Ability to handle physical demands associated with truck driving, including lifting heavy loads when necessary. • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. • A strong understanding of safety regulations related to truck driving and cargo transport.
