Outpatient Pharmacist

GLC Government Services is seekingPharmaciststo work an ongoing government contract at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona. Schedule/Hours:The schedule can vary between 8:00a-5P, 9a-6p or 10a-7pm. QUALIFICATIONS: Clear and active Pharmacist license in the state of Arizona. Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE (American Council of Pharmaceutical Education) accredited school of Pharmacy or a graduate from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program is preferred BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Pharmacist can have retail experience but needs to have experience with vaccinations as well. JOB DUTIES: • Screening prescription orders, inpatient chart, vaccinations and patient record for appropriateness, • Filling/verifying prescriptions • Provide immunizations & act as immunizers vaccine distributors. • Counseling patients on proper use of their medications, functions that support the first three, e.g., drug information, pharmacy and therapeutics function, supply management, quality assurance, pharmacokinetics service. • Primary care services where the pharmacist operating understanding orders or protocols, monitor or manage patients on chronic medications or those that require OTC medication for an acute limited illness. • Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing all prescribed medication orders in the chart or electronic health record prior to administration or dispensing for safety, appropriateness, and efficacy. He/she shares joint responsibility for the safety and efficacy of drug therapy with the physician. • Pharmacist will fill prescriptions in accordance with federal, state, IHS regulations and principles of professional pharmacy practice.
