Job Description

The Psychiatrist provides medical leadership to the multidisciplinary teams in the treatment of patients in the MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) continuum of care. The Psychiatrist directs the treatment team planning process, pharmacologic and therapeutic interventions. This position has coverage of clinics in Biddeford and Springvale with an emphasis on Springvale.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Graduate from Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. 
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
  • Current DEA Registration Certificate.
  • 3+ years' experience inclusive of residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws
