Overview:TheOutside Service Representativewillcoordinate and manage external services by subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective processing of parts for production and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:(include but not limited to):Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
• Generate purchase orders for outside services.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes for services from vendors.
• Maintain continuous efforts to deliver cost savings and improve service quality.
• Coordinate and monitor lead times with outside vendors to ensure on-time performance.
• Communicate issues pertaining to part processing with relevant internal departments.
• Collaborate with the Quality department and suppliers to resolve RMA/Quality issues.
• Participate in vendor performance reviews and communicate results to vendors.
• Develop and maintain a qualified vendor base to support current operations and future growth.
• Serve as a liaison with customers on outside service-related matters, as needed.
• Partner with the OS Packer and Shipping departments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in 2 Second Lean (2SL) by identifying and implementing small daily improvements that reduce waste and improve workflow.
• Other duties may be assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in purchasing, logistics, vendor coordination, or a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered (1 year of relevant experience may substitute for 1 year of education, up to 4 years).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Essential physical requirements pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
• Strength (Light)- Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
• Movement- climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling
• Auditory- talking and hearing
• Vision-near acuity, far acuity, depth perception
• Environmental conditions and physical surroundings-noise, vibration, atmospheric conditions

REQUIRED WORK CLOTHING AND PPE:Attire should not interfere with job performance or safety.
• Safety glasses are provided by Athena
• Closed toe safety shoes are required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
