Hiscox Europe, which includes Germany, France, Benelux, Iberia and Ireland, is currently hiring a developer to expand its OutSystems framework capabilities.

The OutSystems Developer, part of Europe Technology Team, based in Lisbon, will be responsible for designing and implementing low code business applications, playing a key role in our journey to develop our OutSystems application portfolio supporting the different Hiscox Europe geographies.

How will you help us? With your technical hands-on experience in OutSystems framework delivery…

• Solid background in software engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of experience on OutSystems application development and deep knowledge of the OutSystems framework components, tools, best practices, and Domain Driven Architectural standards.

• Ability to translate functional requirements to technical design and development tasks.

• Solid experience in integrating OutSystems with other systems (REST and SOAP APIs).

• Knowledge of SQL server.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience working within an agile environment working with internal and external staff.

• Previous experience in digital channels application domain (B2C and B2B) delivering Traditional and Reactive Web applications is a plus. 

• OutSystems certification is a plus.

• Experience working with insurance companies is a plus.

• Good written and verbal English communication skills, additional language (German, French, Spanish, or Dutch) is a plus.

What we expect from you?

• Deliver quality technical designs and implement quality business applications following OutSystems best practices and Hiscox’s architectural standards.

• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment.

• Development of unit and and integration tests, TDD knowledge is a plus.

• Create and update technical documentation for developed applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OutSystems applications development.

• Support the OutSystems Delivery Manager and in the project/backlog refinement performing technical analysis and high level effort estimations.

• Contribution with insights and technical improvements.
