Overnight Customer Service Representative

Job Summary Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Family owned and run company for two generations, we import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world to distribute these products to local markets. We are looking to compliment our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company’s mission to provide quality service and products. Midwest Foods is looking to hire a Overnight Customer Service Representative. Shift: • Sunday to Friday with rotating Fridays and Saturdays off • 8pm-4:30am with Two hour flex availability as needed Job Description: • Manage high volume of phone calls • Able to handle finishing bills for 40 routes (600 invoices) in a timely manner. • Receive orders over the phone, e-mail, fax, and online and accurately enter them into the system • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow-up to ensure resolution • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure all orders are entered for the day Job Requirements: • Proficient using a PC or Mac as well as Microsoft programs • Strong phone presence and active listening skills • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively • Great attention to detail • Proven customer support experience • Experience in data entry and navigating databases • Flexible to work evenings and overnights, as well as holidays • Typing skills 60 wpm • High School Degree Benefits: • Health/Vision/Dental/Life/STD/LTD Insurance/401k • Vacation and PTO Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
