Taylor Farms Mission Statement To be America's favorite maker of salads and healthy fresh foods. 1st Shift & 2nd Shift Available Pay Rate : $13.00-17.50 Depending on Shift and Experience Job Description/Role/Responsibilities • Job Duties and Responsibilities • Will work under direct supervision of the Production Supervisor and have ability to work well with others. • Will be trained in and must follow HACCP, GMP and Safety guidelines. • Applies basic knowledge of packaging machinery. Employee executes tasks by hand, and will perform basic tasks involving equipment. • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be issued as needed and must be worn at all times. • Performs duties and tasks routinely. • Maintains cleanliness of work area. • Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality. • Maintains and establishes effective working relationships. • Effectively deal with and drive change. • Ability to organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines. • The ability to learn and apply new technology, with the willingness to share knowledge with others. • Fill out and accurately record quality and production paperwork. • Understand Good Manufacturing Practices. • Follow production sequence base on allergens and ingredients availability. • Check to ensure containers are seal properly and damage free. • Check to ensure labels and codes are correct. • Setup and operate equipment according to safety and quality standards. • Remove defective products, and make the appropriate adjustments on the machinery to comply with quality standards. • Ability to work in a fast paced environment. • Be able to effectively work in a team environment. • Must be willing to perform different tasks or multiple tasks throughout the shift as assigned by the team leader or supervisor. • Perform other reasonable job-related duties as requested • Education/Experience • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. • Must have 3 to 6 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Language Skills -Must be able to read and write in English, bi-lingual a plus. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Mathematical Skills -Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. • Reasoning Ability- Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Physical Requirements • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand and walk. • Employee must be able to walk, kneel, bend and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • Employee must submit to post offer, pre-employment drug test and employment history check. • Employee must be able to stand for entire shift at the production line or processing station. • Equipment/Software Used • Would need to be trained in the safe operation and correct function of all production equipment. • Work Environment • Full time position • Must be willing to work in refrigerated environment – Cold/Wet 38°F • Must be able to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled or needed. • Full time position • Must work in a professional and courteous manor with subordinates and peers. • Open to work in a diverse work environment. 7.0 Key Taylor Farms Personnel with Daily Interaction – Summary * * • All departments NOTE: This job position reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
