Painter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and must be comfortable reading blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary. • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. • Conduct color mixing and matching to achieve desired results. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. • Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed for project completion. • Collaborate with construction teams on renovation and remodeling projects. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools and hand tools. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. • Assist in the installation of fixtures and perform maintenance tasks as required. Qualifications • Proven experience in residential and commercial painting. • Strong knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for project calculations. • Familiarity with various painting techniques including industrial painting, stucco application, and concrete finishing. • Experience with carpentry tasks such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and masonry work is a plus. • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Previous construction site experience is preferred. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
