Painter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques, including commercial and residential painting, and the ability to work effectively on construction and residential sites. Candidates applying must be able to spray. This role requires attention to detail, a solid understanding of schematics, and the capability to maintain high-quality standards in all painting tasks. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a clean and professional finish. Please know that this position is a 1099 self-contractor, so we will not take out any taxes on your behalf. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying plaster or drywall as needed. • Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. • Perform caulking and sealing of joints and seams to ensure a smooth finish. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on sites to ensure project timelines are met. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area throughout the duration of the project. • Assist with other maintenance person tasks as required to support overall project completion. Experience • Proven experience as a Painter in both residential and commercial settings is preferred. • Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques. • Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
