Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. Duties • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary. • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various painting tasks. • Perform plastering and caulking to ensure smooth surfaces before painting. • Execute restoration and renovation projects with precision and care. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Provide maintenance services as needed, including fixture installation and minor repairs. Requirements • Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects. • Strong knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for accurate measurements. • Familiarity with color theory and the ability to mix paints for desired shades. • Experience with plastering, stucco application, and trim carpentry is preferred. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment. • Previous construction site experience is highly desirable. • Skills in masonry, concrete finishing, welding, or maintenance person tasks are a plus. • A strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is essential.
