Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques, including construction painting and restoration. This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of color theory, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment. • Execute various painting techniques across residential and commercial properties. • Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. • Perform maintenance tasks including caulking, plastering, and minor repairs as necessary. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the painting process. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects. • Assist in fixture installation, trim carpentry, and other renovation tasks as required. Experience • Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects is essential. • Familiarity with construction estimating and basic math skills for accurate material measurement. • Knowledge of color theory and its application in various settings. • Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and restoration techniques is a plus. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively to guide project execution. • Previous construction site experience is preferred; maintenance person experience is also beneficial. • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance practices related to painting tasks.
