Painter/spackler

Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in residential painting and renovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. • Perform drywall repairs and maintain surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal. • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on color selection and finishes. • Utilize power tools safely for tasks such as cutting or shaping materials as needed. • Execute remodeling projects that may involve frame carpentry and other maintenance person duties. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects. • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting (cleaning, taping, sanding, etc.) • Apply spackle, compound, or plaster to patch holes and repair damaged surfaces • Sand, prime, and paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces • Mix and match paint colors when necessary • Maintain clean and organized work areas • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Experience • Proven experience in residential painting, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. • Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques. • Proficiency in using power tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Experience in remodeling projects is preferred but not required. • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player. • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. • Knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in painting and spackling.
