Panel beater/Denter

To ensure that the assigned body repairs are executed in line with work procedures and specifications, Time standards and housekeeping standards so that the overall objectives of productivity and quality are met or exceeded.

Job Description:

• Re-shaping sheet metal with hammer and dolly.
• Application and sanding of putty / Body filler
• Remove and refit body parts.
• Repair damaged panels with weld pull equipment.
• Reshaping through metal shrinking.
• Working with different types of welding i.e. spot, Mig, Electric. Mig Braze
• Panel Bonding and riveting
• Plasma cutting
• Windshield replacement - rubber weather strip type and adhesive type.
• Reshape complex panel surface profile.
• Repair by panel cutting and joining.
• Body Panel replacement cutting and joining.
• Repair by use of Body Aligner Equipment.
• Repair by advanced use of Body Aligner measurement equipment.
• Alignment of frame type as well as monologue type body.
• Replacement of side members
• Final inspection and quality control
• Ensure care and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Familiarity with automotive repair and restoration.
• Understanding of different types of vehicles and their body structures.
• Good problem-solving skills to assess damage and determine repair methods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training in automotive body repair is also preferred.
