Known for our precision, reliability, and commitment to customer satisfaction, we are expanding our team and looking for a driven and detail-oriented Panel Manufacturing Estimator / Project Manager to lead projects from initial bid through final delivery. Position Overview This hybrid role is ideal for a candidate with both technical estimating skills and hands-on project management experience. The Panel Manufacturing Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for accurately pricing custom panel projects, then managing their execution through production, testing, and delivery. You'll work closely with engineering, production, vendors, and clients to ensure each project is completed on time, on budget, and to spec. Key Responsibilities Estimating Duties: • Analyze RFQs, technical drawings, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates. • Interpret electrical schematics and layouts to determine material, component, and labor requirements. • Source and price parts from suppliers, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pricing and lead times. • Collaborate with engineering and sales to align quotes with technical and client requirements. • Prepare detailed proposals, BOMs, and bid documentation. Project Management Duties: • Lead awarded projects through design, procurement, production, testing, and shipping. • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation. • Serve as the main point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams. • Coordinate with production to ensure timelines and quality standards are met. • Identify and mitigate risks, scope changes, or delays as needed. • Track project performance and report progress to stakeholders. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating and/or project management, preferably in panel manufacturing or a related industry. • Strong understanding of electrical panel design, UL508A standards, NEC codes, and component selection. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. • Proficient in estimating and project management software (AutoCAD, EPlan, MS Project, or similar). • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and clients. Preferred Qualifications • Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field. • Familiarity with industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs. • ERP experience and BOM management. • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
