Overview

The Par Loan Trading desk is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in leveraged loans to provide liquidity to our clients. You will hold the position of Par Loan Trader (Vice President level). You will partner closely with the Institutional Client Group (ICG), Research Analysts and Capital Markets to provide liquidity to our clients & support Deutsche Bank's new issue business.

  • What You'll Do
    • Leverage the ICG Credit sales team to source liquidity
    • Work closely with Desk Analysts to critically evaluate trading opportunities
    • Support Capital Markets in distributing new issues

    How You'll Lead
    • Act as a market maker to provide liquidity to our clients in leveraged loans
    • Support senior traders in building their franchise & client base to capture market share
    • Support senior traders in their ownership & management of the market risk exposure of trading positions

    Skills You'll Need
    • Extensive financial experience and/or knowledge of the leveraged loans market
    • Ability to build relationships with buy-side clients active in this space
    • Be a team player - anticipating and solving problems for the group
    • Have a consistent sense of urgency around doing his or her best - day in and day out

    Skills That Will Help You Excel
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Self-motivated
    • Self-starter

    Expectations

    It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

    The salary range for this position in New York City is $180K to $250K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
