The ideal candidate will have knowledge of domestic and international prosecution, trademark policing, disputes, and enforcement, TTAB proceedings, copyright, social media, (e.g. familiarity with dispute policies, DMCA notice and take down), and domain name dispute procedures. The role will require your presence in the office from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Â

File US and foreign trademark applications and US copyright applicationsÂ
-
Coordinate filings of foreign trademark and copyright applications with foreign law firmsÂ
-
Coordinate the filing of formality documents including declarations, powers of attorney, assignments, formal drawings, specimens, including with legalization and notarization as requiredÂ
-
Correspond with clients, attorneys, and foreign law firms regarding all aspects of the trademark and copyright prosecution processÂ
-
Monitor all approaching deadlines, take appropriate action, and follow-up with relevant parties and teamÂ
-
Conduct US and international trademark Â
-
Research and maintain working knowledge of US and foreign trademark and copyright prosecution rules and procedures, navigate and utilize related websites and databasesÂ
-
Assist with maintaining electronic filesÂ
-
Direct/instruct docketing of relevant deadlinesÂ
-
Monitor litigation and TTAB deadlines, assist with evidence preparationÂ
-
File TTAB related submissionsÂ
-
Review trademark watch notices and monitor deadlines Â

Qualifications:Â

Bachelor’s Degree, requiredÂ

Minimum 3 years of experienceÂ

Familiarity with legal resourcesÂ

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe AcrobatÂ

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact well with people at all levels of the organization and some external partiesÂ

Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong judgment, initiative, integrity and be a dependable, highly motivated, team playerÂ

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyÂ
