Job Description
Responsibilities
This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules for WOW employees include every weekend (Nights - Friday & Saturday, Days - Saturday & Sunday). Employees in designated WOW position earn premium pay in addition to their competitive hourly rates and shift differential.
The paramedic works under the direction of the Attending, Medical Director, and/or RN, and is responsible for the care of the patient population served providing advanced critical pre-hospital and intra-facility emergency medical care and transportation. This includes, but is not limited to, assessing the nature and extent of the illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow.
**This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors. You must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record**
Qualifications
Required:
- Two years EMT
- Valid Driver’s License
- Kentucky or Indiana EMT-Paramedic (State) license at time of hire.
- Must obtain additional EMT-Paramedic (State) license, KY or IN, within six months of hire.
Desired:
- 1 year Paramedic
- Diploma
- Associate Degree
