Park Security Officer / Public Works Support at 1 Stone Solutions Full Time:7 Days a week, rotating schedule AM/PM. Must be open to Weekends Hourly Rate:$25 - $30 / HR Based on background experience. Location:HPC - 1700 Hermann Dr. Houston, TX 77004 Requirements: You must be 18 years old. For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required. Able to lift up to 30lbs. Must have security background Job description outlining a role within Parks and Public Works that requires a security background: Summary: This position combines the critical functions of maintaining safety and security within parks and public recreation facilities, ensuring a positive visitor experience, and supporting various public works operations. The Park Security Officer patrols designated park areas, communicates with the public, responds to incidents, maintains security systems, according to the City of Joplin, MO, and assists with maintaining the park's infrastructure and grounds. Essential job functions: Key responsibilities include patrolling parks, trails, and facilities to deter prohibited activities such as vandalism and loitering. This involves monitoring park areas for damage, checking building security, and responding to calls or complaints. Park Security Officers also explain and enforce park rules, provide general assistance to the public, offer first aid, and assist with lost children or property. Incident response includes addressing accidents or injuries and writing reports. Support for facility management involves inspecting for illegal campsites, monitoring unlicensed vehicles, securing facilities after hours, and performing minor maintenance. The role also includes managing park security systems, such as surveillance cameras and access control. Qualifications: Typical qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience in a security-related role like park ranger or security guard, and a valid driver's license. Knowledge of basic law enforcement procedures and CPR certification are often required.
