Part-time Accountant

Job Title: Part-time Accountant Location:Jax, FL 32256 (Onsite!) Salary: $25-$35/hr Summary: We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to join our growing team. Expertise in Quickbooks Desktop is a must. Flexible schedule with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours a week. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Local family-owned golf equipment company with room for career growth as we grow!Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and reconcile all financial transactions inQuickBooks Desktop • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Assist with payroll entries and employee reimbursements (via Gusto, Paychex, or similar, if applicable) • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking • Work closely with ownership and external CPA for tax preparation and compliance • Maintain organized financial records and support audit or review processes • Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls Qualifications: • 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on small businesses • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required • Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices • Experience in inventory-based or manufacturing businesses preferred • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with a small team • Experience working with external CPAs and preparing for tax season is a plus • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Vision insurance Experience: • Accounting: 3 years (Required) • QuickBooks Desktop: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Jacksonville, FL 32256 (Required) Work Location: In person
