Part-Time Accountant (QuickBooks Online + Logistics Experience)

We are seeking a detail-orientedpart-time Accountantwho has hands-on experience with QuickBooks Onlineand has worked in thelogistics or transportation industry. This is an opportunity to help shape scalable financial practices within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. What You’ll Do • Manage day-to-day accounting operations inQuickBooks Online • Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy • Process logistics-specific billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable • Handle month-end and quarter-end closings • Track margin reporting and carrier settlements • Support audit preparation and process improvement initiatives • Work directly with leadership on budgeting, reporting, and financial forecasting What We’re Looking For Required: • 3+ years of experience inlogistics, freight, or transportation accounting • 3+ years ofQuickBooks Onlineexperience • Strong understanding of revenue recognition and cost allocation for 3PL operations • Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail• Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred: • CPA license(active or on track) • Experience with accessorials, fuel surcharges, EDI billing, or carrier payments • Familiarity with TMS and logistics-related accounting integrations What We Offer • Competitive hourly pay ($25–$30/hour depending on experience) • Flexible work schedule (15–25 hours/week) • Remote or hybrid options • Opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling logistics company • Collaborative, supportive team culture Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: • Chicago, IL 60642 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Chicago, IL 60642: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
