This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position in the mornings teaching just one student that pays$60/hour. This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year. Looking for a teacher who is able to teach and facilitate all homeschool subjects for a boy in 3rd grade with ADHD and dyslexia. (The family is willing to collaborate with the right teacher about which curriculum is used.) The teacher will work to identify educational needs, teach all subjects, and review progress with the parents. The right teacher will be encouraging and reactive to the student’s learning differences. Looking for a teacher who is patient yet stern, who can deal positively with high energy kids. The teacher should be able to redirect and take quick breaks when appropriate. Looking for a teacher who is reactive to the student's needs, but who can also provide structure with the curriculum used and keep him moving forward. Must be experienced and comfortable working with students who have ADHD and dyslexia. Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS and a minimum of two years professional teaching experience in either a special education or inclusion classroom.
