Company Description Job Description: Part-Time/PRN Registered Nurse (Medicaid Waiver Assessments, 1099 Contract) Position Title:Registered Nurse – Medicaid Waiver Assessment (Part-Time / PRN, 1099 Contractor) Program:Home and Community-Based Services (under Texas Medicaid waiver program) Employer:A HCSSA-licensed provider Location:Statewide—Company car available at Allen, TX; Mileage reimbursed if using personal vehicle Compensation:$40–$44/hr (full Medicaid pay passed through to RN) Job Description Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to perform annual Medicaid waiver assessments for clients served by CNAs across Texas. The RN will work on a flexible, PRN basis as a 1099 contractor, leveraging independent scheduling while ensuring compliance with Medicaid provider documentation and state program standards. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct initialin-person skills check-off assessmentsof CNAs using paper or iPad, ensuring accurate completion of annual nursing assessment documentation. • Submit assessments electronically to the Allen, TX office for filing and compliance management. • Coordinate and schedule annual visits independently across client locations, primarily in: • Collin County, Sulphur Springs, Gainesville, Mansfield, Sherman, Denison, Fort Worth, Denton, Rockwall, Teague, Houston, San Antonio, Del Rio. • Use company vehicle (based in Allen) or personal vehicle with full mileage reimbursement. • Conduct rare, occasionalPRN skilled nursing visitsas required. • Complete follow-up video visits when applicable, per waiver guidelines. • Adhere to HCSSA standards for documentation, criminal history checks, and job role compliance Qualifications • CurrentRN license in Texas(compact license accepted). • Strong organizational, assessment, and documentation skills. • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. • Comfortable traveling extensively within Texas. • Experience or willingness to learn iPad-based documentation systems. • Experience with Medicaid waiver programs (e.g., HCS, CLASS, STAR+PLUS HCBS) is preferred but not required • Access to reliable transportation and flexibility with a PRN travel schedule.
