Part Time Retail Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong sales aptitude, as well as ability. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing an exceptional customer service experience for our customers while driving sales, clearly and thoroughly communicating our menu & offering, and maintaining store & food handling standards. Duties: Customer Service & Sales • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. • Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with precision. • Maintain stock levels, keep various retail sales and inventory reports up to date • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space • Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and provide change accurately. Duties: Food Prep - Ice Cream • This role requires food handling and serving of soft serve ice cream & sundaes, in addition to serving pre-baked goods • Associate will cut / prep / package baked goods at the beginning & end of shift Qualifications • Previous experience in *food* and/or *bakery* retail sales or customer service is strongly preferred but not required. But a love for food is a MUST. • Prior experience in ice cream retail sales & food prep also preferred. • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cash register operation is a plus. • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. • Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated to achieve sales goals. • A keen eye for detail when it comes to merchandising and maintaining store appearance. • A cover letter is REQUIRED to apply for this position and can be e-mailed [email protected] About us New June is a cake bakery located in Brewerytown, Philadelphia, PA.
