Job Description

Overview: Landry’s is seeking an individual to support the company’s physical security enterprise. This role will be part of the guard force operation and based within the Houston area. Worksite locations will be subjective to business needs. Responsibilities: • Conduct patrols of company facilities and grounds while working to identify, report, and prevent unusual activity, hazards, or discrepancies • Responsible for logging daily activity, visitor management, and monitoring or review of the video management system • Monitor the fire life safety and intrusion detection systems and have the ability to promptly respond to alarms and assist with evacuations • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures and catastrophic event response • Produce detailed incident reports based upon facts gathered in self-conducted investigations • Promote a safe working environment while adhering to OSHA mandated standards • A flexible schedule is required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. Qualifications: • Must be able to obtain and maintain a state issued Private Security Officer License upon being hired • Experience using video management systems, to view, replay, and archive surveillance footage • Ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manor with co-workers, customers, and third-party vendors in both verbal and written formats • Capable of standing for extended periods of time while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor • Ability to ascent multiple stairwell levels at an expedite pace in emergency instances EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of two years’ experience working as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in an upscale environment • Guest service experience is highly desired • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but can be substituted with military service, first responder or law enforcement background • Knowledge and understanding of state laws and municipal ordinances • Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems Pay Range: USD $0.00 - USD $0.00 /Hr.
