Tech Company Security Officer - Part Time We are looking for a sharp security professional to help us out with a brand new tech company. Only hard workers with high morals and amazing customer service should apply. Location: Palo Alto, CA Schedule Thursdays & Fridays, 6am-2pm (16 hours/week) Starting Pay:$28.00 + $1.00//hour (uniform maintenance) = $29.00/hr Vacation Time Accrual:Up to 24/hours 1st year (if worked 40 hours/week) Start Date:Immediate Mission Statement:Our #1 goal is to create the absolute best place to work as a security professional. Job Description This is a brand new state of the art tech company moving into a very nice office building. Some of of the time will be spent inside the main entrance monitoring people who enter the building. The other half of the time will be spent conducting patrols around the outside of the building to pull on doors to make sure that they are secure. We will also keep an eye on the parking lots to make sure there is no unwanted activity occurring. Client is looking for a general security presence and to have us report anything unusual such as maintenance issues or suspicious activity. Reports will be made once an hour or if an incident occurs, whichever is sooner. Job duties may change as this is a new client at a new building, however this is our current understanding. Anything reasonable, legal and safe can be asked for a security officer to do. Job Duties Including But Not Limited To: • Work extra hours if there is a no show or call off. • Occasionally work other post sites, may require the use of a company vehicle. • Assist client with any reasonable and legal help requests. • Walk around the property checking areas of interest from Client. • Conduct patrol tours of using a checkpoint scanning system with smartphone. • Identify potential security risks and report them. • Complete incident reports and required reports for all security incidents using a smartphone. • Train other security officers on job duties and procedures. • Respond to emergencies or incidents and report them. • Assist employees and visitors with any questions or concerns they may have. • Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed. • Meet with client, guests and emergency services.ds Job Requirements: • Valid Drivers License. • Valid BSIS Guard Card. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • Must be at least 21 years old. • Must have clean driving record. • Must be punctual. • Must be honest at all times. • Ability to pass a background check. • Two (2) years of previous security-related work experience. • Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations. • Proficient written and oral communication skills in English. • Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for. extended periods of time • Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed. • Working knowledge of basic security techniques.
