Part-time Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy, patient care, and medication management. This role involves working closely with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use, providing excellent patient service, and contributing to the overall health outcomes of our community. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient assessments. • Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring appropriate medication selection and dosage. • Maintain accurate inventory management, ensuring the availability of medications and supplies. • Utilize pharmacy software, efficient record-keeping and patient management. • Monitor patient progress and adjust medication regimens as necessary for pain management or other therapeutic needs. • Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Requirements • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. • Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. • Proficient in IV insertion techniques and IV infusion protocols. • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education. • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is beneficial but not required.
