Part Time/On Call Security Guard

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. **This is an on-call position, ideal for someone who already has steady employment and is looking to pick up occasional extra shifts as opportunities arise** Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. • Conduct regular inspections of premises and report any suspicious activities or incidents. • Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities. • Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, utilizing conflict management skills as necessary. • Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations. • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches. • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Qualifications • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. • Knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment operation (CCTV). • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
