Job Description

Shopify’s mission is to make commerce better for everyone. While we will build most of the things our merchants need, through our platform and product, we also rely heavily on our partners to help merchants realize their commerce ambitions. Our agency partners in particular are an extension of our own team, working with merchants to deliver incredible commerce experiences and helping our merchants find success on the Shopify platform. 

We are looking for a Partner Marketing Manager to join our North American Partner Marketing Team, and help us build, scale, and implement a world-class growth engine that enables our agency partners to bring more Shopify to the world. ​​You will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of all co-marketing programs with a designated portfolio of North America agency partners with a goal of driving partner referral leads. This role will work collaboratively across multiple teams, including Global Partner Marketing, Sales, Events, and Partner Managers in addition to collaborating closely without external partners to get co-marketing activities into market.

The ideal candidate has a track record of building and managing impactful co-marketing campaigns that drive activation and referrals from partner agencies. We are looking for a seasoned marketer that understands how we can deepen our relationship with our agency partners, ignite performance, and help optimize lead conversion.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and produce  innovative partner marketing programs to increase co-marketing engagement

  • Plan, build, and execute joint co-marketing programs with assigned partners to accelerate partner referrals 

  • Define joint marketing objectives and KPIs with partners and maintain communication on tracking to goals

  • Conduct frequent analysis on campaign performance and and present optimization recommendations and partner feedback to internal teams

  • Track how partner leads progress through the sales funnel and work with internal teams to improve lead conversion

  • Build, maintain, and foster relationships with key partner stakeholders

  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders from Global Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships

Qualifications

  • A passion for working with partners and creating, executing, and running joint programs to meet objectives

  • Extensive experience designing and executing co-marketing partner programs that drive qualified leads

  • A relationship builder that can easily navigate stakeholders across teams

  • Collaborative self-starter who is able to work autonomously and  cross-functionally 

  • Comfortable with data, reporting, and identifying opportunities.

  • The ability to thrive in chaos, resolve ambiguity and think on your feet. You can drive great decisions collaboratively and quickly.

  • 6+ years of partner marketing experience
