The Houston Racquet Club is seeking a talented and experiencedPastry Chefto lead our pastry and bakery operations. Position:Pastry Chef FLSA Status:Exempt Salary Range:$50,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience) About the Role: As ourPastry Chef, you’ll oversee all pastry and dessert production for the Club, including a variety of events, buffets, and receptions. This role supervises bakery team members, manages inventory and cost controls, and ensures the highest standards of quality and sanitation. ?Key Responsibilities: • Lead, train, and manage all pastry staff • Plan and execute creative and seasonal pastry menus • Oversee dessert presentation for buffets and plated events • Ensure sanitation standards are met at all times • Develop and test recipes for consistent excellence • Manage bakery budget, purchasing, and cost controls • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on event planning • Prepare all types of pastries, baked goods, fillings, desserts, and decorations Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or GED (culinary education or equivalent experience preferred) • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus • Must be able to taste, smell, and visually inspect food to maintain quality Why Join the HRC Culinary Team? • Premier Club environment with high culinary standards • Competitive compensation and benefits • Employee meals and holiday events • Supportive and professional kitchen culture • Opportunities for growth and creativity How to Apply: Please visit www.houstonracquetclub.com and apply online under Employment Opportunities.Additional Information: Houston Racquet Club is proud to be anEqual Opportunity Employer.
