Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy in client billing, vendor account management, and client financing. This role involves supervising a small team, managing client billing, handling reconciliations, and collaborating with tax resolution professionals to support client financial strategies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage client billing for tax resolution services.
• Present financing options to clients in a clear, ethical, and professional manner.
• Submit credit applications to multiple lenders; secure competitive approvals.
• Manage payment processing staff who will ensure payments are made and contact clients for any NSF or failed payments to reschedule.
• Prepare weekly payroll and commission reports.
• Pay all approved invoices within appropriate vendor timelines.
• Add new vendors after ensuring all required paperwork is received and approved.
• Create weekly affiliate revenue share reports and submit for payment
• Act as a liaison between accounting department and vendors.
• Review vendor statements on a monthly basis to ensure all activity has been recorded.
• Ensure all invoices are recorded in compliance with month-end closing calendar and prepare journal entries for Controller.
• Enter wire payments to applicable financial institutions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and balance sheet account reconciliations, along with other reports such as corporate cash report, room tax returns, and others.
• Secure documents for annual audit and other regulatory agencies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual compliance issues.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or tax-related environment.
• Experience in tax resolution or public accounting is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.
• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive client financial information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
