Payroll Manager

About the Role

• Responsible for the processing of bi-weekly payrolls for 400+ employees using Zenefits according to pre-established deadlines and a monthly commission/bonus payroll
• Address employee questions on payroll related issues.
• Maintain accurate payroll records within the payroll system.
• Review and verify data sources.
• Responsible for compliance with internal and external payroll policy and procedures. 
• Support and collaborate with Benefits, HRIS, Human Resources and Accounting teams on payroll, benefit deductions and account reconciliation issues.
• Register and set-up various state and local payroll and related withholding accounts and respond to notices received.
• Record manual checks within payroll system for various external compensation programs such as incentives, rewards, stock transactions, etc.
• Assist in payroll analysis reports/variance reports and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
• Support and participate in evaluation of payroll systems and any upgrades/migrations.
• Assist with other responsibilities and projects, as needed.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree
• CPP preferred
• 3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience of multi-state US payroll for 400+ employees
• Significant understanding of payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills
• Possess a teamwork orientation and also be able to work independently
