Job Description
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join our hospital employed, outpatient Pediatric Endocrinology practice in Bangor, Maine.
About the position:
- Full-time role with flexible schedules for exceptional work/life balance
- Manage patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, acquired hypothyroidism, type 1, type 2 and monogenic type diabetes mellitus
- Potential to advance education into other areas of pediatric endocrinology
- Work alongside two endocrinologists, one certified diabetes educator, two registered dietitians, one certified medical assistant and one licensed practical nurse
- Partner with an embedded pediatric psychologist who helps address the behavioral, mental and lifestyle impacts of chronic and complex diseases for pediatric patients
- Work directly with genetic counselors when obtaining testing for evaluation of genetic type diabetes mellitus

Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility
- Eligible for a Maine license
- Excellent communication skills

- Commitment to collaboratively build pediatric endocrinology care practice expertise with dynamic on-site mentors
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a 411-bed regional tertiary care center and an ACS-verified level II trauma center with academic affiliations. We offer dedicated neonatal (Level 3) and pediatric/PICU transport while serving as a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transport service flying nearly 900 missions per year.
