We are seeking a People and Culture Associate to join our growing team. The People and Culture Coordinator position is a hands-on unbiased support role. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and is motivated by all things People, Culture and Community related.

Role and Responsibilities:

As the People and Culture Associate, your primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding activities for the retail team.
  • Partner with retail leads on all recruitment efforts - including job postings, phone screenings, and coordinate interviews for hiring managers.
  • Work with IT for all new hire equipment set-up.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments such as Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k.
  • Assign and monitor retail employee performance check-in’s utilizing performance platform.
  • Maintain digital employee records and update HR databases accordingly.
  • Conduct retail personnel exits including:
    • Exit interviews
    • Prepare final checks
    • Account for all company equipment
  • Work with the VP, Culture & Community to support the continuous implementation and development of DEI programs and initiatives to promote inclusion and belonging at Jenni Kayne.
  • Provide project management support to organize, schedule, and oversee DEI-related trainings, workshops, and materials.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining company-related files including: org chart, employee yearbook and orientation materials.
  • Provide HR and Culture support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in human resources, culture and community or related position
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred 
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Through knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive confidential information
  • Experience with HR / payroll software systems
  • Computer proficient with experience in Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to move and lift heavy objects (15 pounds or more) from time to time as required

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
