We are seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
- Administer the new hire onboarding and offboarding processes and associated docs
- Work with payroll to process multi-state, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll
- Accurately update systems, communicate one-off situations, and review all bonus information for accuracy
- Create and maintain electronic employee files
- Prepare and edit HR documents including the employee handbook and policies
- Update and maintain HRIS platforms (Namely, Insperity, Pingboard) to include leave administration
- Support our Workplace Operations team with occasional in person events and team member support
- Compile and prepare routine, compliance, and ad hoc reports using Excel and other applications
- Work cross-functionally to support the creation, updating, and cataloging of job descriptions
- Support compliance audits
- Make sure labor law notifications are up to date and posted in accordance with applicable employment laws.
- Processing job transfers, promotions
- Working cross functionally to support the onboarding, extension, and offboardings of contractors
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as the job and company evolve
What you will contribute:
The People Operations Coordinator is an essential part of the HR Operations team and works collaboratively across the organization building positive working relationships with all pillars and teams. This role provides administrative support for a variety of human resource functions and ensures a positive experience for new hires and all Uplight employees.
What you bring to Uplight:
- One or more years of human resource administration or other similar experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in communicating with employees via email, slack and virtual meetings, and/or face to face conversations
- Experience with updating and maintaining payroll information or similar systems
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms or other similar systems
- Ability to work with confidential information and deal with it appropriately
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification (or aspirations!)
- Multi-state or international HR experience is a plus
- Experience with UKG is a plus

Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
