Job Description
Seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Technical Functional consultant with experience on the PeopleSoft Financials/Supply Chain v9.2 platform with the ability to assess business requirements, write specifications, develop solutions, write test scripts, conduct testing, maintain system configuration, troubleshoot defects, and provide direct customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in collaborative Agile based project environment to support an implementation of PeopleSoft technologyÂ
- Gather business requirements, solicit business process, perform analysis, and document specifications and business rules to perform configuration and development.Â
- Identify and design solutions for business problems using PeopleSoft technology.Â
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.Â
- Create, update, and respond to Oracle service requests as necessary to address software bugsÂ
- Develop and analyze SQL queries within a PeopleSoft environment to assist design and development activitiesÂ
- Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems.Â
- Provide functional and technical guidance to the project team and project stakeholders to support all in-use modules in the FSCM environment.Â
- Perform development work in support of the project goals that follows the provided software development lifecycle processÂ
- Perform assigned project administration activities including updates to ServiceNow or Jira platforms used by the project.
- Attend and contribute to Agile methodology sprint ceremonies (planning, review, retrospective, and recuring standup)
- Provide routine status updates to leads and stakeholders in support of project deadlinesÂ
- Identify developmental or design risks and maintain knowledge of current technologies and practices to assist with consulting initiativesÂ
- Assist and document solutions in Functional and Technical specification documents as directed to support the project.
- Build and maintain relationships with key application stakeholders and users to identify improvements to process or function striving to increase end user satisfaction.Â
- Effectively work with business customers and project teamsÂ
- Stay current on latest PeopleSoft features and functionality to identifyefficiencies and enhance existing processes, including delivery of Fluid enhancements.Â
Minimum Qualifications:
- Self-driven individual with ability to assume ownership of work items and delivery of quality work productÂ
- Bachelorâs degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a combination of equivalent technical experience and educationÂ
- At least fifteen (15) years of business experience, business/system analysis, and information technology experienceÂ
- Must have ten (10) or more years of relevant experience on at least four (4) of the following PeopleSoft Financial/Supply Chain modules: Procurement, General Ledger, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Commitment Control, Project Costing, Customer ContractsÂ
- Must have ten (10) or more years of relevant experience with demonstratedproficiency with technical tools provided by PeopleSoft, including ability to write and execute SQL, such as PS Query, nVision, BI Publisher, Application Designer, Integration Broker, LDAP/Active Directory IntegrationÂ
- Prior experience writing functional and technical design specificationsÂ
- Prior experience on projects with federal, state, or local government is desirableÂ
- Prior experience related to the design and development of CEMLI (Customization, Extension, Modification, Localization, Interface) functions within a PeopleSoft environment.Â
- Ability to be on-site in Boston, MA on a quarterly basis or as requested by managementÂ
- Preferred experience to include understanding and development related to accounting entries for payroll processingÂ

- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at any one time, while maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to deliver technical solutions for Oracle ERP PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain ManagementÂ
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a team setting and contribute high value to the project at hand
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with technical and non-technical individuals across organization including FMIS Team, Management, and business stakeholdersÂ
- Excellent time management and organizational skillsÂ
- Experience working on PeopleSoft environments that leverage a 3rd party hosting provider
- Ability to create detailed technical & functional documentation
Location:
This role is hybrid. Need this person to be onsite in Boston, MA one week per quarter or as requested by management.
As a contracted role for the MBTA, we are unable to hire candidates who would perform their work in California, Connecticut, Washington DC, Hawaii, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
At this time, we are only able to hire US residents who will reside in the US for the duration of their employment
Compensation:
Pay rate range is $100 - $120 per hour (W-2). This will start out as an 8 month contract.
