Per Diem - Home Infusion Nurse

Structure: Per Diem/PRN. hours varies per month depending on the need of the department month. RN to be assigned home infusion patients to travel up to patients' homes and provide home infusion as ordered by provider.

RN to perform skilled nursing infusion services and clinical tasks associated with patient infusion home care including assessment, obtaining IV access, education, infusion, and coordination of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Coordinates and schedules care with their list of managed patients along with other clerical duties to confirm their patient visits.
• Tracks patient supply needs and orders them based on pharmacy protocol.
• Prepares/compounds sterile admixtures per MD orders for immediate use when required.
• Completes and submits nursing and progress notes including admission and assessments per policy same visit day.
• Ensures proper labeling of medications in the home.
• Manages emergency supply kit, including monthly expiration checks, and orders them as needed.
• Completes full medication profile review at every visit.
• Ensures a clean environment for infusion preparation and administration in the home.
• Lab draw and drop off at local hospitals/clinics per MD orders.

Qualification Requirements:

• RN Nursing license active in State of care required.
• Registered nurse experience minimum three year in any setting. Worked in a high-level acuity facility minimum of three years. Critical care experience preferred. Current regular IV experience required.
• Willing to learn.
• reliable, responsive, personal, professional, and good communication skills.
• Provide the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication in order to build and maintain the maximum customer base possible.
• General Infusion Experience required.
• Strong current IV Skills required.
• Port/ PICC line Experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and personal professional liability insurance (if candidate does not currently hold professional liability insurance please still apply), and have access to a reliable automobile: required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Possess good organizational and time-management skills
• BLS Certification required.
• Proof of immunizations required.
• CRNI, IGCN, or other IV certifications preferred.
• Must pass background and drug test

Pay: $46.50 - $55.00 per hour
