In this key role as a Per Diem Medication Accountability Pharmacist you will perform a range of functions that include but are not limited to, performing medication management functions in support of departmental and organizational quality, safety, regulatory, and education priorities across the health-system. You will collaborate closely with other members of the health care team to help prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications.

Schedule: Varied shifts, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidays. Ability to travel to different areas within pharmacy department.
Hourly Salary: $103.31 (Standard Per Diem Rate)
Bargaining Unit: HX-UPTE
Qualifications
We’re seeking a dedicated clinical professional with:
• Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license (required)
• At least 2 years of applicable controlled substances management/regulatory compliance in hospital setting (required)
• Min 5 years of experience with PGY 1 or PGY 2 training or 7 years of pharmacist experience
• ASHP-accredited residency (preferred)
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and professional staff.
• Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand and interpret current scientific literature.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies and procedures, and to persuade others to adopt a specific opinion or action.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
• Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products such as ophthalmic preparations and intrathecal injections according to acceptable standards of aseptic technique.
