Per Diem Pharmacist

Overview: ThePer Diem Pharmacistappropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews. This is aper diempositionlocated inside a health center (GMHC)at 307 W. 38th St. in NYCand thepharmacy is open M-F from 9am to 5pm, so we are looking for a Pharmacist who has flexible availability to work during those days and times (as needed). About the Role: • Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws • Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services • Assist with managing pharmacy operations and supervising a pharmacy technician • Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy • Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs • Perform other related duties as assigned • Perform in accordance with company policies and standards • Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals About You: • Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university • Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of NY • 1+ year of full-time retail pharmacist experience preferred • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills • Bilingual in Spanish a plus • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer-service skills • Able to efficiently work with, mentor, and supervise a pharmacy technician • 340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification a plus At Avita Care Solutions, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do.Join Avita and get inspired tobe the carethat unlocks the full potential of health for all.We’re committed to promoting health equity by providing comprehensive, integrated access to pharmacy services, clinical care delivery and digital health through our individualized and culturally competent LGBTQ+, HIV, PrEP, and sexual wellness care.
