Per Diem Pharmacist

Overview: ThePer Diem Pharmacistappropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews. This is aper diempositionin Chicago, IL(3635 N. Halsted St.) and thepharmacy is open M-F from 9am to 5pm, so we are looking for a Pharmacist who has flexible availability to work during those days and times(as needed). No evenings or weekends! About the Role: • Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws and regulations • Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services • When filling in for the Pharmacist-in-Charge, manage pharmacy operations and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians • Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions • Perform other related duties as assigned • Perform in accordance with company policies and standards • Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals About You: • Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university • Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Illinois • 2+ years of full-time retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred • 340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification a plus • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer-service skills • Able to efficiently work with, mentor, and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians At Avita Care Solutions, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do.Join Avita and get inspired tobe the carethat unlocks the full potential of health for all.We’re committed to promoting health equity by providing comprehensive, integrated access to pharmacy services, clinical care delivery and digital health through our individualized and culturally competent LGBTQ+, HIV, PrEP, and sexual wellness care.
