Our comprehensive services include Primary Care, Gynecology Services, Immunizations, Travel Medicine, Physical Therapy, Specialty Clinics, Radiology & Laboratory, and Acupuncture – all under one roof! We are also pleased to offer additional services in the Ackerman Student Union: a full-service optometry center, U See LA Optometry, and the Bruin Health Pharmacy. Most recently, the wellness fintech brand Ness awarded UCLA and The Ashe Center as the healthiest college in the state of California. Under the supervision of the pharmacy manager, provides patient care, performs clinical tasks, oversight of dispensing prescriptions and provides patient consultations within the scope of a California licensed pharmacist to manage medication therapy and ensure optimal patient health and wellbeing. Complies with state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and organizational policy and procedures. Collaborates with health care providers to provide appropriate pharmacological guidance while resolving prescription ambiguities and issues. Provides direct supervision and responsible for duties performed by pharmacy technicians. Maintain security of pharmacy, appropriate storage, handling, ordering and preparation of drugs within a safe and clean work environment. Salary & Compensation • UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications • 1 year As an outpatient pharmacist (Preferred) • Possession of the legal requirements to practice pharmacy as determined by the California State Board of Pharmacy. (Required) • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy. (Required) • Ability to locate and interpret drug information resources including, but not limited to scientific and professional journals, compendia and internet references and provide timely responses to prescriber and patient inquiries. (Required) • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and professional staff. (Required) • Ability to work pleasantly and effectively with medical staff and patients. (Required) • Ability to perform multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and/or distractions. (Required) • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. (Required) • Ability to prioritize work that reflects the needs of the clinic's patients. (Required) • Effective verbal and written communication skills. (Required) • Registered with CURES Program with access. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations • Other Type of Degree Doctoral level program - Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy (Required) • California State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License Upon Hire (Required) And • Current BLS Certification Upon Hire (Required) And • Possession of a Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate Upon Hire (Required) Special Conditions for Employment • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment. • Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired. • Pre-Placement Physical: Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory physical examination. • TB Test: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory TB test. • CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA.
