Performance Test Engineer

Mede is looking for a driven and experienced Performance Test Engineer in our United states office. This Performance Test Engineer will be a partner with both R&D development and QA working with scrum teams to effectively evaluate performance and load abilities of our suite of applications. As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be a skilled engineer with a passion for building the right performance testing solution for the most accurate data gathering. You will be an efficient and empowered analytical person and can work independently or in groups while building world class solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review software requirements, technical and functional specification documents to design & develop automation scripts to assure the code operates as defined.
• Work closely with software development teams and IT/CloudOps teams in scoping acceptance criteria for performance.
• Automate, execute, continuously integrate & maintain complex test scripts, conditions, data, and expected results for performance test efforts using JMeter and associated software solutions.
• Drives performance diagnostic and tuning activities.
• Maintain technical and functional awareness and competence.
• Design and execute JMeter tests with a focus on end-to-end application performance.
• Analyze results of performance tests and automate reports based on performance/load/stress test results.
• Build and manage a backlog for performance testing requests.
• Develop and maintain JMeter based test framework written in java/groovy.

Required Skills

• 4+ years in software testing with a proven record of accomplishment in software development and performance testing. 
  • Knowledge of US healthcare industry preferred. 
• Highly analytical with a passion for developing expertise in the industry and product under test.
• Seasoned in efficient performance test design, scripting, execution, and analysis; keen vision for designing tests for maximum coverage and minimum maintenance.
• Strong Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
• Experience with cloud migration and cloud services: Oracle OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools just as Jenkins & Concourse
• Experience with Industry standard performance and load testing software such as:
  • JMeter, BlazeMeter, HP Performance Tester (LoadRunner), NeoLoad, LoadNinja
• Experience with industry APM software: Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Signoz & Open Telemetry
• Experience with script creation, execution and Webservices (REST & Soap)
• Experience with one or more programing languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Bean Shell scripting
• Experience with Code repository and management: SVN, GIT, etc.
• Results-oriented, self-motivated and quick-learner
• Pursuing or acquired associates/bachelors/master's degree (IT, MIS, Healthcare Degree or equivalent) strongly desired.
• Knowledge of industry ticket & bug management software, such as: Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), Rally, qTest (or equivalent)

Compensation Information:

• Base Salary Range: USD $80,000 - $100,000
  **Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to the candidate, including skill set, relevant experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
