Personal Chef for Busy Young Family Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year (commensurate with experience) Location: Austin, TX We are a warm, active family seeking an experienced full-time Personal Chef to join our household. This role is ideal for a chef who is creative, highly organized, and enjoys cooking nourishing, family-friendly meals with occasional elevated touches when hosting friends or relatives. Responsibilities • Prepare lunch and dinner plus healthy snacks • Saturday will be a flex day, possible breakfast and lunch • Packed lunch prepared for 2 children in school • Weekly Meal planning with a focus on balanced, kid-friendly, seasonal, and fresh cuisine. • Provide an array of cuisines, with a preference for Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and other globally inspired dishes. • Grocery shopping and inventory management, ensuring the kitchen is always well stocked. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. • Occasionally prepare special menus for gatherings, playdates, or holidays. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as a personal, private, or professional chef or graduation from a culinary school • Knowledge of child-friendly nutrition and ability to prepare meals suitable for young children. • Strong skills in menu planning, organization, and time management. • Flexible, discreet, and comfortable working in a family-centered home environment. • Valid driver’s license and ability to handle grocery shopping independently. Compensation & Schedule • Competitive salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience. • Full-time schedule, with flexibility required based on family activities and occasional entertaining. • Benefits and additional perks may be discussed during the interview process.
