Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy systems, and aseptic techniques to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. • Provide medication counseling to patients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding their prescriptions. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines. • Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness, safety, and adherence; make recommendations for adjustments as necessary. • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions in accordance with pharmacy software protocols. • Supervise pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks, ensuring adherence to best practices in medication administration and aseptic technique. • Participate in hospital committees or quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the pharmacy services provided. • Stay current with developments in pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmacy practice through continuous education and professional development. Experience • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. • Completion of a pharmacy residency program is preferred but not mandatory. • Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of physiology is essential for effective patient care. • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems to manage prescriptions and patient records effectively.
